Graduation!

Jimmy Joe graduated this week! I am so proud of him. He has done such a great job throughout his education. He has supported us through both of us getting our degrees, going to school full-time and working. He is starting his PhD work in Chemical Engineering at BYU this spring term. Thanks to everyone who came out to support him!

Thanks to Rochelle for the pictures!

We are moving!

This is a big moment for the Orgills. After 3 years we are moving to a new apartment. It is still in Provo, and we are close to BYU. And Jimmy Joe discovered this new presentation program that he wanted to show me. So I made a show about our apartment. More to make me feel better about moving, because it's kind of scary and a lot of work.

I am really nervous but excited. It is harder than I thought to leave the only apartment we've known as a married couple. We will just have to make new memories in the next one.

Cakes and Bball

I made three more cakes and learned some new things. They were for a mega 3-child birthday party, and the parents wanted each kid to be able to have their own little cake. They were for 2 girls (one appropriately name Daisy) and a boy, which for his they wanted to put Cars toy cars on the top. This was my first time making shaped flowers, which I liked a lot. I invested in a fondant rolling mat, which was great! Also added a few more colors to my supplies.

Also, Jimmy Joe played on our ward basketball team. It's the first time they have had church ball in our stake and I think 30 guys showed up for their first game! He did great and it was fun to see him play.

What a stud!

Master's Project

I presented my master's project yesterday! The presentation went really well. It's over and I don't have to deal with it anymore! I am so happy to be finished with it. We presented to peers and a committee of faculty members and department members.

This was the question I researched for it:
In patients with type 2 diabetes suboptimally controlled on oral antidiabetic agents, how safe and effective is exenatide compared to insulin in reducing HbA1c?

Now that that hurdle is over with, I just have to graduate and pass the national board exam!

English makes no sense

I have mad respect for people who learn English. Let me cite an example, brought to my attention by Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader:

The plural form of moose is moose.
The plural form of goose is geese.
The plural form of mongoose is mongooses.

That makes no sense at all does it?

Three years!

We just celebrated our 3 year anniversary! Time sure goes a lot faster than it feels. I look back and cannot believe how lucky I am that I married Jimmy Joe. He is so perfect for me. I don't think I even knew when we got married just how wonderful he is for me. 3 years later, I could not be happier. Life is so much more fun when you are married to your best friend. I love you honey!
